Flash the receiver right in your browser

Connect the ESP32-C5 to your computer via USB and click Connect & Flash. No install, no drivers: the receiver derives its ID automatically from its own hardware address and shows up over Bluetooth in the V2X2MAP app right after it reboots.

⚠️ Couldn’t start automatically — put the board into bootloader mode by hand:
  1. Seeed XIAO ESP32-C5: hold BOOT (B), tap RESET (R) once, then release BOOT
  2. Tick “already in bootloader mode” above
  3. Click Connect & Flash again and re-select the same port
Still no luck? The desktop flasher (macOS/Windows) resets the C5 automatically — use that instead.
Works in Chrome, Edge & Opera on a computer (Web Serial). Safari, Firefox and mobile devices aren’t supported — use the desktop flasher there.

How it works

  1. Plug the ESP32-C5 receiver in with a USB cable
  2. Click Connect & Flash and pick the serial port (e.g. “USB JTAG/serial debug unit”)
  3. Flashing runs automatically — takes about a minute
  4. Unplug the receiver from USB once and plug it back in — this power-cycle is needed for the new firmware to start cleanly
  5. Done! Open the V2X2MAP app on your phone — the receiver appears over Bluetooth
