Flash your receiver.

Plug the ESP32-C5 into your computer, click one button, wait for green. No install, no drivers — the receiver then shows up over Bluetooth in the V2X2MAP app.

📱 For the V2X2MAP apps on iPhone (2.0+) and Android (1.5+). On Android you can also flash straight from the app via USB-OTG.

Red, yellow, green — go.

Connect the ESP32-C5 via USB and click Connect & Flash. The light turns red while connecting, blinks yellow while the firmware is written and switches to green when your receiver is ready.

⚠️ Couldn’t start automatically — put the board into bootloader mode by hand:
  1. Seeed XIAO ESP32-C5: hold BOOT (B), tap RESET (R) once, then release BOOT
  2. Tick “already in bootloader mode” above
  3. Click Connect & Flash again and re-select the same port
Still no luck? The desktop flasher (macOS/Windows) resets the C5 automatically — use that instead.
Works in Chrome, Edge & Opera on a computer (Web Serial). Safari, Firefox and phones aren’t supported — use the desktop flasher there.
How it works

Three steps. Then drive.

Plug in

Connect the ESP32-C5 receiver to your computer with a USB cable.

Connect & Flash

Pick the serial port (e.g. “USB JTAG/serial debug unit”). Flashing runs automatically and takes about a minute.

3

Re-plug & drive

Unplug the receiver once and plug it back in so the new firmware starts cleanly. Then open V2X2MAP — the receiver appears over Bluetooth.
